Okay, so for my first FF Friday, I'm gonna try and make an entry about one of my favorite movies of all time: X-Cross (2007). In short, this movie is a wild thrill ride, dark and intelligent while also managing to be memorably funny. To me, it's the perfect translation of the survival horror game concept into the non-interactive medium of cinema. And it's got lesbians, so what else could you really ask for?
Watch if you like:
- Fast-paced horror that is more tense than it is scary
- The friends to (implied) lovers trope
- Games like Clock Tower or Fatal Frame
- 2000s horror aesthetics
- Ridiculous fight sequences
- Prefer more serious horror
- Don't enjoy movies that aren't explicit about queerness (it's obviously gay in my opinion, but they never kiss or anything like that)
- Don't like movies that take cues from videogames
- Prefer more realistic movies
